Pump Station Helps Hyatt Hotel Remove Wastewater
San Francisco, California
Airport hotels handle hundreds of thousands of travelers seeking a good night’s sleep almost every day of the year. When Hyatt Hotels & Resorts added a new property to accommodate visitors at the San Francisco International Airport, it went with state of the art construction materials to ensure everything was in good order before opening for business.
The Grand Hyatt at SFO is a 351 room, 12 story high hotel with an ultramodern take on airport accommodations. Jensen Precast provided a sanitary sewer pump station to handle the site’s wastewater needs.
“We furnished a complete package, including an A-LOK lined concrete well for H2S corrosion protection, FM-rated HOMA ASC submersible pumps with 4” spherical solids clearance, and additional cutting system to address long fibrous material,” says Nick Pace, Jensen Water Resources Pump Technician. “We also included a Wager passive carbon media odor control valve to disguise the system from travelers and a separate precast concrete valve vault with a Jensen MetalTech access hatch for ease of maintenance.”
To keep everything running smooth, the job was capped off with a custom designed control panel integrated with the Hyatt SFO’s SCADA system for efficient and informative remote pump operations.
