What are the main uses for precast concrete?

Engineers, contractors, and government agencies use precast concrete primarily for wastewater, stormwater, communication, transportation, electrical, agriculture, and earth retention applications.

Do you have an inventory of products available so I can pick up what I need in person?

Product availability varies by location. If you need a product immediately, contact us to ensure availability. Or check with our Distributors to see if they have the product you need.

How long does precast concrete last?

Precast concrete structures typically last between 50 and 100 years. Many last multiple times that amount. Much of the longevity depends on the design, method, size, reinforcement, and material used in making a structure and the type of application.

How long does it take to get a Jensen product delivered once you order it?

For standard products we have in stock, the average delivery time is about a week. Product availability varies by location.

For custom products manufactured to your specifications, the lead time depends on design and production scheduling. Ask your Jensen sales representative to give you a time estimate. We work hard to get you the products you need when you need them.

What is precast concrete made of?

Precast concrete is typically made of water, Portland cement, and fine and coarse aggregates, including gravel, sand, and rock.

What locations does Jensen service?

We have locations across the Western United States in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Washington states. We often service areas in states adjacent to those and can deliver products virtually anywhere. Keep in mind shipping is dependent on logistics and freight costs.

How can I get designs of standard products to add to my bid proposal?

Jensen provides complementary design downloads for most products. Simply find the products you need, download the drawing, and add it to your bid. If you need help finding the right design, please contact us.

How did Jensen get its start?

Donald Jensen began making precast concrete parking curbs in 1960 as a student at Reno High School in Nevada. In 1968 he founded Jensen in Reno and a decade later expanded to Las Vegas.

What industry certifications, guidelines, and accreditations does Jensen follow when manufacturing products for industry standards?

The two main organizations Jensen follows are the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). We also follow guidelines and specifications set by a variety of agencies. Check our Resource Hub for more information.

Jensen is a member of the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA), the American Public Works Association (APWA), and the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials (IAPMO).
